Palestine & International Struggle
The plight of the Palestinian people is something that touches many Irish hearts. The comparisons with the Irish independence struggle are widely-recognised, however even in this modern-era of social media, 24/7 news coverage and technology to capture the events, the magnitude of suffering that the people of Gaza and the West Bank have to endure on a daily basis is horrendous. The manner is which the Palestinians conduct themselves, how much they suffer and how they resist and endure this tyrannical onslaught is an inspiration to millions. Ireland stands shoulder-to-shoulder with Palestine and we both strive for nations to call our own, free from terror and thriving on our own.
